We have had an amazing number of people reach out to our team, asking how they can help. Our efforts have spread to New England, the East Coast, and now the West Coast. Yesterday, we were contacted by Mia Mashburn- a member of Stroller Warriors Camp Pendleton. Mia leads the running club, made up of Marine Corps/Navy wives, in Camp Pendleton, CA.
Mia and her fellow Stroller Warriors deserve a very special thank you. This Friday, members are planning to gather for 27 minutes to honor Sandy Hook victims and run for 27 minutes beginning at 9:30 a.m. Members have been encouraged to wear green and white. The time is designed for members to come together, reflect, and send their thoughts and prayers.
Knowing we have such strong support from the Stroller Warriors in Camp Pendleton, CA is an amazing feeling. The club has expressed interest in participating in a satellite run on the day of the Strides for Sandy Hook 5k, as well. Thank you, Mia and friends for everything!
